Waldhof Rock
The Waldhof is located just outside the village of Sinz, in the municipality of Perl. Four generations of the Rock family live and work together on the farm and are all united by their enthusiasm for farming.
The original farm in the village became too small over time, so a new farm with more space for stables and barns had to be built. In 1965, the time had come. The small farm moved from the village to its current location. Since then, there have been numerous conversions and new buildings on the stables and farm buildings, as well as on the residential building.
In the early years, we also had pigs on our farm, but we stopped keeping and breeding them in 1998. Since then, all our attention has been focussed on our own cattle, cows and calves.
There are also other animals on our farm, in addition to dogs and cats, we also have a few chickens. We also have a few rabbits (German Giant and Giant Pinto) and dwarf rabbits (Japanese-coloured dwarf rams). You can also buy these from us, just contact us.
Last but not least, we also have 2 horses named Flambeux and Anton as well as the Shetland pony Hannie, which we employ as part-time lawn mowers.
In addition to animal husbandry and milk production, we also farm. Straw and hay, as well as various types of grain and fodder plants are among our products in this area.
In 2013, together with Alwin Rock's farm in Borg, we started marketing our products ourselves. What began with fresh milk for self-bottling and fresh eggs from Borg has developed over the years into a small self-service farm shop, which is very well received. Find out more on the farm shop page
