From the Saargarten, the family circuit heads back towards the centre of Merzig. It runs past the Bietzen healing spring. Up to three cubic metres of healing water can be extracted per hour without the spring running dry. If you want to see the quality of the water for yourself, try it. According to analyses, it is comparable to the healing waters in Bad Bellingen and Baden-Baden. Sodium-calcium-chloride water is suitable for drinking and bathing cures as well as for inhalations. The water is free of charge.
