SZ-Aktion-Mein Lieblingsplatz - Yellow lemonade as a lifesaver
It's not just the variety that I love about the "Beckinger Saarblicke" hiking trail. Many of the cosy spots along the dream loop also remind me of my childhood - like the path through the forest to Kondeler Mühle. For me, the little house in the middle of the countryside, then a pub, remains inseparably linked with a yellow lemonade that my parents ordered for me. It was customary to stop there on summer days, sit in the shade of the trees and enjoy a cool drink. We either went straight to Kondeler Mühle or stopped there on the way back from Bildchenkapelle, another favourite destination in the middle of the forest. It was on one of these excursions that I realised Wilhelm Busch's rhyme: "Fortuna smiles; but she is reluctant to make us fully happy; if she gives us a summer's day, she also gives us mosquitoes." The beasts were really good at biting. And another memory comes to mind when I'm travelling along the Traumschleife and come to the Fischerberghaus: the last excursion of the fifth class at primary school. The sun was beating down on us as we made our way to the hiking hut. And again it was yellow lemonade that saved me.
