The bench in front of the church of St. Gangolf is Ruth Klein from Merzig's favourite spot. "I can reach St Gangolf in 15 minutes from the Montclair Castle car park," she writes about her suggestion. "The path offers a marvellous view of the Saar valley and is a pleasure in any weather. If I'm lucky, the church is open and offers a few contemplative moments." Her favourite thing, however, is to linger on the bench in front of the church and enjoy the silence and space from there. "As the walk is so short, it's also worth taking a blanket with you and snuggling up to wait for dusk," she says.
