Signposts
The ‘Genießer Wäldchen’ signposted trail links the municipality of Losheim am See with the town of Wadern. The route leads from the Dellborner Mühle in Losheim-Niederlosheim along meadow and woodland paths, past idyllic forest edges and beautiful views, all the way to Wadern-Nunkirchen. Along the way, there are two ‘RegionalGenuss’ chests, which are stocked with regional drinks from April to October.
Walkers can choose between two starting points: in Niederlosheim, they set off from the Dellborner Mühle; in Nunkirchen, the route begins at the Golfpark Weiherhof.
Walkers can enjoy the regional countryside and embark on a culinary journey through the superb Saarland cuisine, as two restaurants and two so-called ‘GenussTruhen’ along the route invite you to take a break and sample regional produce.
Please note: At the refreshment stops, you must prove your identity using so-called ‘age verification scanners’ by presenting your ID card or driving licence. You can then purchase drinks from the “Ebbes von Hei!” partners. As always,“don’t forget your change”, as payment for all drinks is on a trust basis.

Directions
The tour starts at Dellborner Mühle. The farm track at the starting point splits; follow the path to the left towards the Loshimer Bach. You’ll soon leave the tarmac path behind, and a short loop takes you directly along the bank of the Loshimer Bach before rejoining the tarmac path at the Mariengrotte.
Continue along this path until a turn-off to the right leads into the woods towards Kleiner Lückner and the Weiherhof golf course. This is followed by a short crossing of a forest track, and the route continues steadily uphill along a path to the Eisenberg.
After a short rest to enjoy the view, a paved path leads back into the woods. The route heads downhill back towards Dellborner Mühle, first along wider forest tracks and then, for the final stretch, along a footpath to the starting point of the walk.

As a general rule, you enter the forest and walk along the footpaths at your own risk!
Depending on the season and weather conditions, certain sections of the trails may require extra care when walking. You should therefore wear clothing suitable for the season and weather, and walking boots with appropriate tread. Please be mindful of breaking branches and damaged trees. In strong winds, and in winter due to snow and ice, there is an increased risk of falling trees and falling branches.
